Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met by a friendly African Fairways representative who will assist you with a private one hour road transfer Franschoek in the heart of the beautiful Winelands of South Africa.
Here you will spend four nights in the quaint Le Quartier Francais in an Auberge room on a bed and breakfast basis with dinner as an optional extra. This exclusive boutique hotel has been a member of the Relais & Chateaux group since 2000 and is also a member of the Classic Retreats Portfolio.
Guests will experience the ultimate in luxury, privacy, gastronomy and service when staying at Le Quartier Francais. Chef Margot Janse’s award-winning fine-dining menu is a delightful mix of French, Malay and traditional South African dishes and is paired with an outstanding wine list.
Whether you play two or four of the magnificent courses on offer, you are sure to enjoy every minute of your stay in the Winelands. This itinerary includes Pearl Valley Golf Course and De Zalze Golf Course (Devonvale Golf Course and Erinvale Golf Course are optional extras).
De Zalze is a stunning Peter Matkovich designed championship course. Tee off onto fairways lined with beautiful vineyards, olive groves and lavender fields and following the meandering oak-lined Blaauwklippen River as it weaves its way through the valley.
A visit to Pearl Valley will make you feel like you’ve stumbled upon a precious gem hidden between the Simonsberg and Drakenstein Mountains. Designed by the legendary Golden Bear, Jack Nicklaus, there was no compromise in layout and design of this magnificent course and it holds true to its promise of an exceptional round of golf.
For non-golfers or on non-golfing days:
There is a veritable plethora of wine farms along the wine route, opt for the more renowned producers or stumble across a hidden gem at one of the smaller boutique estates.
This area is also known as the Brandy Route and is home to Van Ryn’s Distillery near Stellenbosch – their 20 year old luxury Potstill is officially nominated as the World’s Best Brandy at the international Wine & Spirit Awards for 2011.
Additional activities include; hiking and biking excursions, horse-riding and wine-tasting on horseback, paragliding and helicopter trips, tennis, trout fishing, walking, olive tasting, chocolate tasting, car museum, health and wellness spas.
Moving back to the Cape Town southern suburbs you are transferred by road to the wonderfully elegant Ellerman House. Transfer time is approximately 1 hour. Accommodation in a Standard room is on a three-night bed and breakfast basis with dinner as an optional extra.

Designed by renowned golf course architect Peter Matkovich, the Steenberg golf course features four distinct areas; Wetlands, Parklands, Cape flats and Fynbos.

Why not enjoy a scrumptious lunch at Constantia Uitsig, shop for art and souvenirs at St James and Kalk Bay or visit the penguins at Boulders Beach. Cape Point Nature Reserve is certainly a worthwhile journey. Other major attractions include the V&A Waterfront, Table Mountain, Robben Island and the beautiful beaches of Clifton, Camps Bay and Llandudno.
Private road transfer back to Cape Town International Airport where you board your flight back home.
