The Lighthouse Bar, named after the red and white Umhlanga Lighthouse, which can be clearly seen from the hotel, offers sundowners overlooking the rollers of the Indian Ocean. The Chukka Bar is the perfect spot for casual chats over a cold beer.

There are six treatment rooms, two which offer dual treatments, four offering sensational showers and two with hydrotherapy baths. One of the treatment rooms was specially designed to assist the physically challenged. All rooms are an oasis of calm which alleviate the stresses and strains of everyday life. Therapeutic massage treatments are based on ancient cleansing rituals.
The Oyster Box Spa is also host to South Africa’s only authentic Turkish Hammam, a sensual bathing retreat which evolved over thousands of years and which was hailed as a place of cleansing and healing for the body and soul. Many of these traditions can still be experienced in many of the natural hot springs in Turkey, Tunisia, Spain and Morocco. Guests are invited to indulge in traditional Middle Eastern treatments at the Hammam.

The hotel’s suites were designed with families in mind with each offering a master bedroom and an additional single room or loft for the children. Guests can choose from Sea Facing Family Suites, Sea Facing Luxury Suites, Sea Facing Deluxe Suites (with private plunge pool and terrace).

The stylish Presidential Suite is split over two levels and has a private lift. There is a grand master bedroom with its own comfortable seating area and personal study. The lounge is tastefully tailored and a gracious dining room seats ten guests and is serviced by a well equipped kitchen. Guests in the Presidential suite can relax alongside their own private rim-flow swimming pool.
